Dr. Luis A. Manrique, MD completed his medical education at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. Followed by internship and residency training in internal medicine at John H Stroger Jr Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, IL and a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Rush University Medical Center. He practices as an Infectious Disease consultant at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield IL and he is the medical director of Antibiotic Stewardship and Infection Prevention at both Central DuPage Hospital and Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Manrique works with pharmacy in the development of guidelines and protocols to promote appropriate prescribing of antimicrobials in the hospital setting.
