Dr. Muhammad Dhanani is an infectious diseases physician and clinical instructor in the Division of Medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center, where he also completed an advanced fellowship in antibiotic stewardship, hospital epidemiology & infection control. Between residency and fellowship, he worked for two years as a hospitalist at Mount Auburn Hospital, a community-based teaching hospital with an independent internal medicine residency program and an affiliation with Harvard Medical School. During his hospitalist years, he completed a fellowship in health professional education. His medical degree is from University of Michigan Medical School. His interests include development of antibiotic stewardship education materials using established techniques in medical education, and other domains of stewardship such as diagnostic stewardship and vascular access device stewardship.
